That's a really good question. I've been blown away by our own community in our Discord and our live player base - they're really passionate. They're excited about Neo, they're still eager to play Live, but will try out BnS NEO Divine Gems for sure. I can't predict whether they'll leave Live behind as they're still so passionate, but of course they're going to try Neo and make their own decision on what version is right for them. The two versions are wildly different, so that's a question that'll be answered shortly.
If we look at the community, a lot of the hype has been from returning users joining our Discord, who maybe tried Blade and Soul back when it launched, have all of these great memories, and they're back to see what this new game is all about. But also, it's been interesting to see a lot of new players who have no idea what Blade and Soul is. So we have a lot of potential with people who missed it [...] There are new generations that have missed it, they weren't here for the beginning of the MMO rise, so it's been important for us to realize there's a massive market for new players as well.
Also, if I may add to the Purple thing, we've been using Purple for a year plus, all three of our games and a mobile game we have all exist on Purple. So it's kind of an old hat for us, but it's getting new features that we're excited to show to a new audience.
It's an interesting debate, whether or not to keep your own games on a dedicated launcher to create a hub for fans of NCSoft, while taking into account the potential loss of players that decision may bring. It's especially interesting that Throne and Liberty's PC release and it's initial peak of 333,000 players doesn't appear to have shifted NCSoft's own philosophy when it comes to other MMO releases. That's an audience that Amazon clearly wanted to tap into with its involvement in the release, but given that figure has dropped siginificantly since then to a steady 30-ish thousand concurrent, perhaps there's merit to building your own platform. Would those dedicated Throne and Liberty fans be any less eager if they had to boot up Purple? Something to think about.
Nevertheless, cheap BnS Classic Divine Gems is launching on Purple on February 25. It's not touched on in this interview too much, but the game does really seem like a great jumping on point for those unfamiliar. We'll have another interview feature on Blade and Soul Neo out tomorrow, so keep an eye out if you want to read more about the release.
"Going back to the original Diablo there was not a great deal of choice, but with Diablo IV Gold you had plenty of rather different appearing classes. And then with Diablo 4, you had a choice of sex. We felt that Diablo 4 should continue that heritage and also go deeper, especially because it is a shared open-world you can research. If you saw the same Barbarian anyplace that wouldn't feel really good."
"We actually leaned into it too," Jon continues. "Due to many cinematic moments where your personality is from the scene. On this front it pays off in a cool way, going through and taking your own time with character development." This means adjusting facial features, hairstyles, scars, skin tone, make-up, jewelry, and many aspects of your potential Barbarian, Sorceress, or Druid. Giving players choices to make a character that feels just like their very own has been a priority for the team, however as Luis notes there are limitations.
"I've always been an advocate of getting these options be curated by John Mueller. I will break it and make it seem as goofy as you can Should you give me too many switches and dials. Thus, we're ensuring that those choices feel like they work together as one although that we have choices. "We do not want you to make someone that feels out of place in the world. That feels breaks immersion and, finally. We always want it to feel as if you're in a medieval city, which explains the reason why we have horses and not crazy high-fantasy mounts."
On this the group at Blizzard have verified that because of the large nature of cheap Diablo 4 Items seamless Sanctuary that is open-world, players will be able to get around on horseback. And horses will have the ability to be outfitted with distinct armour bits and seems too. On the gameplay that is pure each course will come equipped with a distinctive dismount skill, the animation system that's been made to support this philosophy although one which highlights not just a focus on keeping the action responsive and fluid.
For example, the Infernalist Witch Ascendancy node "Beidat's Will" scales Spirit with POE 2 Currency Orbs your Max Life, creating a synergy between your health pool and Spirit capacity. As you level up, prioritize these nodes if Spirit is a critical component of your build. A balanced allocation of resources between Life, Mana, and Spirit ensures your character is well-prepared for both offense and defense.
Equip a Sceptre early to take advantage of its 100 Spirit bonus. This is particularly useful for builds that demand heavy Spirit usage, such as Minion Witch builds. Allocate Passive Skill Points and Ascendancy Nodes strategically to balance Spirit, Life, and Mana. Don't skip bosses marked with Spirit bonuses. These consumables provide permanent upgrades critical to your progression. If your build doesn't rely heavily on Spirit, you can phase out the Sceptre as your Spirit pool grows through bosses and skills. However, for Spirit-reliant builds, maintaining a high Max Spirit is essential for activating powerful abilities and permanent buffs.
The new Spirit resource system in Path of Exile 2 adds a dynamic layer of strategy to the game, especially for builds focused on permanent abilities. By defeating key bosses, equipping Spirit-enhancing gear, and utilizing Passive Skill Points or Ascendancy Nodes, players can steadily increase their Max Spirit and optimize their builds.
Don't forget to leverage POE 2 Orbs for sale to craft and trade for the best gear, ensuring your Spirit pool remains competitive as you progress through Wraeclast. With careful planning and efficient resource management, you'll be well-equipped to take on the challenges of Path of Exile 2.
